More about Randy Usem, LMT, Certified Radix Practitioner

I started my massage and bodywork career in south Florida in 1986 after attending a 560 hour massage training school and then being licensed by the state of Florida. I had a strong interest in psychology from early adulthood. In college I took an advanced psychology class where I was introduced to the teachings of Dr. Wilhelm Reich who was a medical doctor, a psychoanalyst and the father of mind-body therapies. I was highly inspired by the idea of mind and body connection and its potential applications in massage therapy.

Over the last 38 years, I have gained valuable experience working one-on-one with many individuals with varied needs.  I have continually upgraded my education by taking courses in postural integration,  neuromuscular integration, structural alignment, certification in the St. John method of neuromuscular therapy, Reiki master certification, zero balancing and many other courses in medical massage, sports massage, yoga and energy healing.  In addition to these courses, over many years I have been observing and working with different body types, injury and stress patterns, and ways to facilitate healing and make postural corrections.

My interest in the body and healing started with my introduction to body-centered psychology while attending college in the seventies. I completed the study of Radix mind-body therapies and achieved Radix Practitioner Certification in 2009.  Because of this intensive study and personal work, I gained an awareness and ability to work on deeper core issues with clients.  Old traumas and issues may be felt and expressed through body movement and with words or sounds. Sometimes the full expression of these issues includes emotional tones and feeling re-enactment.

At Tucson Massage and Body Therapy, I am dedicated to providing high-quality massage therapy services to help my clients achieve relaxation, pain relief, and overall well-being. With over 35 years of experience, I am committed to delivering personalized care to meet the unique needs of each individual.
